Mac Power Users latest podcast is Workflows with Merlin Mann and it’s fantastic. I hate listening to Merlin discuss workflows because (1) I end up with a list of about 10 applications I need to check out and (2) I realize how pathetic my workflow really is. I really need to get busy on that.
Update 3/18/10 6:30am: Rectools02 is back in the AppStore. Apparently, there was a bug that has now been fixed that must have made them remove the app from the store so that folks didn’t update to it. Rectools02 is also on sale for $2.99 instead of the usual $19.99. The app description says 1 week [...]
Update (3/20/10 – 8:06pm): We Rule has been released to the world as of today. So you won’t need to do this trick in order to play it now. GodFinger is probably soon to follow. I found an article on AppAdvice.com that describes how to create an iTunes account for a country other than the [...]
The latest update of Tweetie 2 (Version 2.1.1) supports something called Instapaper Mobilizer. What that means is that when you look at a link in a tweet, instead of being taken to the actual website, Tweetie uses Instapaper to show you an iPhone optimized version of the site. This makes reading tweets and the links [...]

Confusingly, given the record label’s deep care and concern for its artists, EMI has been making Pink Floyd songs available for individual purchase from places such [...]
Is Apple going to introduce backgrounding capabilities in iPhone 4.0? AppleInsider thinks so and John Gruber agrees. I think it has to happen sooner or later, with sooner being the preferred answer. The AppleInsider article, while not containing any technical details, gives a good layout of the considerations and possible impacts of such a move.
Hey, remember iTunes LP? Yeah, I forgot all about it, too. At the time, and even today, it makes no sense and when we discussed it six months ago on the podcast, I said as much. Why the hell would Apple do this? Well, Paul Bonanos over at GigaOM has revisited the iTunes LP and, [...]
Update (3/9 2:54pm): From what I can see so far, this banning/not approving apps that are template-based/cookie-cutter type apps doesn’t seem to be happening. There is a new developer, LMK.com, that has added 51 new apps all of which use the same app to display different data. Just the kind of think that Apple would [...]
